The governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, is among dignitaries expected to grace the silver jubilee convocation of Abia State University, Uturu, today.
A press release signed by the university’s Alumni President, Chief Umeh Kalu (SAN) announced this yesterday.
While congratulating the Vice Chancellor, the Governing Council, the entire management, staff, graduating students, and students of the university, the alumni association thanked the governor for his untiring efforts towards the sustenance of the high standards of the university.
“The association also wishes to use this medium to thank most profoundly, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu… We are indeed proud to be associated with this great institution, as it has proved its mettle in the manpower development of this country, by producing quality and reputable individuals, who have impacted and continue to impact positively on all sectors of the country,” Kalu noted.
He also prayed that the activities of the silver jubilee convocation mark the beginning of yet another cycle of true life-changing quality education and research.
