IK Ogbonna, my crush –Cynthia Godwin confesses

Godwin

Dark-skinned-fast-rising actress, Cynthia Godwin (Okoronkwo Cynthia Chiamaka), has opened up on her crush on Nollywood hunk, IK Ogbona, sensationally declaring that she’s crushing on him!

The actress told TS Weekend that ever since she met him a while ago, she’s been romantically hooked to the A list actor.

She said: “Hmmm… I have a crush on Ik Ogbonna. The guy is just cute! I met him once on a boat cruise. We did a snap together and I was blown away! I was excited and so shy like a 16 year-old on her first date. It was crazy! I still haven’t got over the experience,” she gushed, giggling.

Currently on the set of Power of Virtue, the thespian also opened up on her journey so far in Nollywood, revealing that her dream is to see a Nollywood where A-list actresses lift up up-and-coming talent.

She says: “At a point I had to take a break. I went back to school and tried to focus on other things. I wanted to make money because when I started, some actresses made you feel like, if you want to be in Nollywood, you’ve got to measure up. Most of the female actress just makes you feel that way.

“So I was always feeling oppressed. I saw a lot of actresses doing stuff for themselves. But today it’s a different story. Now I can drive myself to location, sit in my car, be under the air conditioner and when it’s time for my scene, I walk in and shoot. Sometimes on location, you see some actresses in groups with their PAs doing their thing. Most of them don’t like to associate with those that are up-and-coming. That’s why I’ll always be grateful to Big Stan for standing in the gap for me. He’s been such a nice and caring guy.”
