Some eminent Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in security and humanitarian fields are to be recipients of 2023 African Humanitarian lcon of Peace Award during a three-day ceremony in Minnesota, USA.
The three days event which starts on May 14 to May 16, would be chaired by Governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz.
In a statement by the President, African Education and Health Initiative, Oluwagbemi Kolade, among those to be honoured include, Inspector General of Police Alkali Baba Usman; lya Oloja General, Folashde Tinubu Ojo; Governor Sani Bello of Niger state, Eniola Jumoke Aborode, Lawan Usman Dalorami, Adu Sylvester, Cardinal James Omolaja.
According to the statement, the African Heroes of Democracy and Humanitarian Icon of Peace Award is an initiative specially designed to celebrate, particularly Nigerians and the African leaders in strategic leadership positions, peace building and that have performed excellently well in governance, contributed greatly to human, security and community development.
