…celebrates 32nd anniversary as cleric
Popular Founder and spiritual head of lnri Evangelical Spiritual Church, Oke-Ada Lagos, Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele , has said that people who are ignorant of the grace of God on him and how God has been his only foundation mistake him for a fake prophet. The renowned seer whose several shocking predictions about events in Nigeria and the world, have come to pass, including his visions on unprecedented hardship immediately after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s assumption of office, the gradual relief afterwards, among others, made the remarks during the 32nd anniversary celebration of his calling into God’s vineyard as a Prophet. The event which held on Sunday, was tagged: “Special 32nd Anniversary Thanksgiving“ held amid pomp and pageantry inside the main auditorium of his church premises on Primate Ayodele avenue, Oke-Afa, Lagos.
The cleric also used the occasion to give generous lifeline to the less privileged who included indigent students in higher institutions, widows, widowers, sick people, single mothers and many who were given financial assistance in cash. He also auctioned several food items such as bags of rice, beans, garri and Semovita for far less the market prices, to many in attendance. Primate Ayodele said he did this so as to reduce poverty and cater for the less privileged in the society.
Speaking on the grace of God on his life, he said: “The road to this enviable height as God’s servant and more importantly, a Prophet, has been rough. Many enemies have conspired to see to our downfall, enemies within and without and even several other so called men of God, wanted me to fall. They devised several means, but God’s grace, power and mercy have made me victorious. Some people even alleged that I am a fake Prophet, but that is because they are simply ignorant of God’s grace and mercy over me. To tell you the truth, God alone and only has been my pillar. We are not unaware of what fake pastors do but that is insignificant to us because we know the true foundation is the one built on Jesus Christ. If for not for God, we would have become history. If this foundation has not acknowledged God, the ministry would have become history. But because our faith and hope are based on truth and God alone, the Almighty God has been with us and we have been standing firm. This is the major reason for my special thanksgiving today as we made 32 years in the service of God”, he said.
Urging the teeming crowd who were in the auditorium to always express gratitude to God in all situations, he advised Nigerian leaders to urgently declare and devote a day for national praise and worship, adding that: “… if this is done, our great country will witness a huge turn around for renewed greatness and we shall all be happy. “. Speaking further about the vision and mission of his ministry as God’s servant, he said:”Our mission as a church is to evangelize but we do not just evangelize, we do so with charity. Ours is serving the people with God’s word and also catering for their stomach and welfare. These encapsulate the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is why you will always see us reaching out generously to the needy and less privileged”, the cleric clarified.
