The National President of Igbo group, Ogbako Ndigbo Nile, Amb Azunna Akpelu, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to focus on the issues that are causing agitation in the country with a view to giving every ethnic group sense of belonging.
Akpelu, who made the call at the weekend in Owerrl, the Imo State capital during the inauguration of Ogbako Ndigbo Nile held.
His words: “The President should concentrate on those things that unite us, than those things that divide us. The President should avoid listening to politicians that are sycophants. He should also seriously address issues that have continued to create agitation in the country.

“We need a Nigeria that works for everyone. Peace can only be achieved when you give the carrot before the stick. We are all Nigerians and should not allow ethnic and tribal issues to divide us. Let’s all unite to build a country that works for all and not one that talks about ethnicity.”
The group, he said, was created to unite all Ndigbo across the country for the development of Nigeria, adding, “We shall work with our brothers and sisters from other parts of the country to build a Nigeria of our collective dreams.”
He urged the president to address systemic corruption and greed of the political folks, saying, “these are the bane of Nigeria.”
Also, the National Chairman of New Nigeria Movement from Southwest and Secretary General, Council of Yoruba Elders, Dr. Victor Taiwo said, “We need each other because no one tribe can do it alone. Let’s remove stereotypes of the past that have kept us down and move forward as a nation.”
