Eze Ndigbo of Lago State, Nwabueze Ohazulike, has called on Nigerians to pray for the quick recovery of President Muhammad Buhari, who is on medical vacation in London.
In a statement released in Lagos, Ohazulike prayed for Buhari to get well and return to Nigeria on time to continue with the task of moving the country forward.
Lamenting the spate of insecurity in the country, the monarch urged the Federal Government to adopt the national conference report. He said the conference had taken care of the issues of state police and creation of additional state in the South-East.
On economic hardship being faces by Nigerians, Ohazulike called on federal and state governments to work out palliatives to alleviate the suffering of the masses.
“If the price control measure initiated by acting President, Yemi Osinbajo can be implemented, it will help address some of the problems,” he said.
Commending the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo under its new President General, Nnia John Nwodo, for gradually restoring the dignity of Ndigbo, Ohazulike called on South-East governors to support the association to enable it achieve the goals of its founding fathers.
