Former House of Representatives member for Ovia federal constituency, Omosede Igbinedion, yesterday, endorsed the candidacy of Asue Ighodalo, saying that he believes in his capability to lead the state in the right direction.

She stated this when she was given two minutes to address the delegates before the voting exercise commenced at the Indoor Sports Complex of the Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, venue of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial Primaries.

Igbinedion said that she has looked around among the aspirants and come to realize that he is capable of leading the state, adding that she believes that it is the turn of the Edo Central to produce the next governor and she is supporting that agenda.

She said that it was her desire to have been the governor of the state having served as the youngest House of Representatives member but now that her aspiration didn’t scale through, she would rather endorse Asue Ighodalo, one of the governorship aspirants to emerge winner of the governorship primary.

She, therefore, urged all her followers to cast their votes for Asue Ighodalo.
