The emergence of House of Representatives member, Dennis ldahosa, as the winner of the APC primaries in Edo State is a testament to the party’s commitment to promoting excellence and competence in governance, the state chapter of Renewed Hope Coalition declared yesterday.
Addressimg journalists in Benin City on the outcome of the party’s primaries, Chairman of the group, Stevens Jim, said the APC has once again through the primaries demonstrated its dedication to selecting candidates based on their qualifications, vision, and ability to serve the people effectively and as well as putting the choice of the people first.
“It is worthy to note that APC is one in Edo state and there’s no division, now that a candidate has emerged, it is important for us all to rally round the winner and ensure the victory of APC in the September 21 Governorship election in Edo state.
“It is a known fact that Edo state is APC and APC is Edo state, we will do all it takes to take back our state from the vampires who are holding down our state. And in order to achieve this we must speak with one voice and support our Governorship candidate in person of Honourable Dennis ldahosa whose qualifications and track records speak volume.
“At this juncture, we will also like to commend the National leadership of the All Progressive Congress led by our amiable Chairman His Excellency Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje for standing by the truth and Commending the Hope Uzodinma’s election committee and also congratulating the winner in person of Hon. Dennis ldahosa, it outrightly shows that the APC is committed to fairness and justice”.
The group commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his exemplary leadership and commitment to deepening democracy in Nigeria, saying that
under his watch, the just concluded APC primaries in Edo state stand as a shining example of transparency, fairness, and integrity in the electoral process.
“Governor Uzodinma and his team’s dedication to upholding the principles of democracy has ensured that every eligible member of the party had an equal opportunity to participate and have their voices heard.
“In a time where the credibility of electoral processes is often called into question the electoral committee headed by Governor Hope Uzodimma has set a new standard for conducting primaries by prioritizing transparency and inclusivity.
“The smooth and orderly conduct of the primaries across the 18 local government areas of the state is a testament to APC’s unwavering commitment to upholding the democratic ideals upon which our nation was founded. We unequivo cally pass a vote of confidence on the Governor Uzodimma led Electoral committee for conducting a free, fair and credible primaries”, group said.
It appealed to all contestants to close ranks and support Hon. Dennis Idahosa in his quest to take Edo state to a greater height.
