Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) would on 4th April fortify its governance practitioners, risk and compliance officers, Company Secretaries/Registrars, chartered administrators, finance professionals, data privacy officers and others, with the requisite knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cyber security for capital market operations.

Addressing newsmen in its corporate headquarters in Lagos, the Chairman of ICSAN Corporate Members & Training Committee, Mrs. Abiola Laseinde, said the one day forum was designed to prepare the aforementioned experts for the future challenges in the workplace as Artificial intelligence is taking the center stage in the global economy, while the need for cyber security is becoming indispensable.

According to her, it’s imperative for everyone (irrespective of profession and sector) to prepare for both expected and unexpected eventualities through learning, research and development to avoid becoming redundant in the future or going out of business.

Laseinde who alerted that the rate of cyber attacks (globally) across sectors is alarming added, “We put a lot in capacity building for our members. Thus, the 2024 Company Secretaries and Registrars’ Forum holding in Lagos is apt for every progressive minds because if we don’t embrace technology and AI now, as well as prepare ourselves against cyber threats, many people would be display  in the future” she maintained.
