Founder of IBD Foundation and Managing Director of IBD Hotels, Omolara Egungbohun, has clinched a place among Africa’s Top 50 Most Industrious Women, cementing her rising profile as one of the continent’s most influential female trailblazers.

Egungbohun’s recognition came at a high-profile ceremony held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, where organisers celebrated exceptional African women breaking barriers across entrepreneurship, governance, technology, media, community development and the creative industries.

In a major highlight of the night, Egungbohun also snagged the African Humanitarian Ambassador of the Year Award, applauded for her transformative contributions to both the hospitality sector and grassroots community development.

According to the organisers, the awards were designed not only to spotlight individual brilliance but to shift public perception about women in leadership, pushing for a continent where female excellence is fully acknowledged and embraced.

They noted that Egungbohun’s selection followed her “innovative leadership” and the introduction of new operational blueprints within her hotel chain and foundation.

Though represented at the event, Egungbohun dedicated the double honours to the people of Yewa land, describing them as the backbone of her philanthropic and entrepreneurial journey.

Meanwhile, the IBD Foundation has announced that its annual end-of-year thanksgiving concert, themed “United in Thanksgiving – Empowered by His Spirit,” will hold on December 21 in Ilaro.

The foundation said the concert is open to all residents of Yewa land and the general public, irrespective of religious affiliation.

The celebration—part of the foundation’s yearly community outreach—will also spotlight children and women in the area. Attendees will be treated to electrifying performances from top gospel acts including Woli Arole and Elijah Daniel, alongside refreshments.

Egungbohun’s latest accolades further deepen her growing reputation as one of Nigeria’s most industrious women driving positive change both in business and at the grassroots.
