Bukola Oladeji popularly known as Bukie xcel, has many sides. She is an artiste, content creator, movie producer, an entrepreneur, an IT expert but above all a philanthropist, an attribute she got from her parent. Speaking in a recent interview, Bukola stated that she is not comfortable with seeing poor, hungry children and how she has been working to change that narrative by touching the lives of the needy and the vulnerable.
“My mom owns an orphanage home and this makes her the philanthropist I admire most. This goes to tell me that I have to be like her. Channelling that energy, I currently feed poor kids every day. My main focus is just on children because they make up the better part of the vulnerable in today’s society. It breaks my heart when I see kids hungry because food is a basic need. I believe that no child should go a day without food and water. Part of my future plans are to build an orphanage home, sponsor young kids through elementary school, and continue my mandate of feeding kids every day,” she stated.
Aside being a goal-getter, kind, compassionate, and God-fearing, the idea of entrepreneurship excites her. Every day, she has at least a business idea that comes to mind because she naturally look for business opportunities in everything. She said, “The day I pitched a business idea to someone, this was an idea I thought they would be better at executing it.
They believed in the idea and set it up. The business is doing well today. In all these, I only look up to God because he is my biggest inspiration. With a bachelor’s degree in political science, certifications in cyber security, and experiences in the IT sector; Bukola is also founder of Beecan Media, an agency that specializes in Talent/Artiste Management, Digital Music Distribution, Talent/Artiste Promotion, Record labels, and Entertainment servicing clients all over the world.
Bukola has definitely made it to the list of female philanthropists who are stepping to the fore and pioneering innovative ways of giving at the same time as meeting community needs. ‘Never give up’ is a mantra that drives Bukola and fuels her passion for excelling. “With motivation to win and reach out to others, I have this discerning feeling that I can make a difference in the world” she concludes.
