In a bid to address the growing rate of unemployment among the youths in the country, the newly established Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC) is to train no fewer than 5,000 youths under its Youths Transformation Programme (YTP) across the six states under the commission.

Other five HYPPADEC states that will benefit from between three to six months training programme include, Kogi, Kwara, Benue, Kebbi and Plateau.

Sadiq Yelwa explained that the training programme is in line with the federal government policy to take off the street those numbers of youths as a life changing skills acquisition exercise.
