Talk of a man who is an embodiment of humility and Hakeem Belo-Osagie comes to mind. It’s widely known that Belo-Osagie sits atop the board of several firms.
His affluence is unquestionable as the success of these firms speaks volumes. However, this hasn’t gotten into his head as he behaves just like another regular Joe.
A guest who bumped into him at a high society event recently on Lagos Island couldn’t hide his shock due to Belo-Osagie’s mien.
While the guest apologized profusely for not looking at where he was going, an indifferent Belo-Osagie simply urged him not to worry, as he walked away.
In 2014, Forbes Magazine listed Belo-Osagie as the 41st richest man in Africa and since then he has not relented on his professionalism as well as sociable lifestyle.
An observer told Society Gist that he’s selective about events he attends nowadays as he is more concerned about who’ll attend too.
