Olamide Adedeji, often known as Olamide Baddo, a Nigerian artist and rapper, has opened up on how he handles negative criticism.

The ‘Wo’ hitmaker noted that being successful or trying to be successful makes it hard to avoid criticism.

He stated that one may deal with criticism by staying focused on one’s objectives and ambitions.

Speaking in a recent livestream, the rapper said, “If you want to blow or be great in life and you don’t want people to talk about you, then you’re not ready. People will come for you and chat sh*t about you, it’s now left for you to be focus.”

Olamide recently came under heavy criticisms after he declared Wizkid as the “greatest Afrobeats artist after Fela.”

Some music fans, especially fans of Burna Boy and Davido, not only disagreed with him, but also chastised him over his bold declaration.

Responding, Olamide argued that it was solely his opinion and no reasonable person should let someone else’s opinion define their greatness.
