Most developed economies around the world have introduced and adopted various forms of agricultural technologies solutions across different value chains to increase productivity and efficiency in their agriculture sector.

Currently, the Nigerian clean tech agribusiness industry is undergoing considerable change across numerous fronts, because of major player like Ecotutu.

They are currently seen as the major player in the industry going by their inputs and contribution to agriculture in Nigeria.Through their Renewable energy initiative which has become an increasingly important alternative source of energy in the agricultural sector.

Despite its huge agricultural potentials, Nigeria easily losses one third of its agricultural crops to either total lack of energy or unreliable electricity, a problem Ecotutu has solved through it renewable energy hub because its better alternative since its relatively cheaper, non-exhaustible and environmental friendly source of energy.

According to findings the 2020 founded firm, started with the name Ecobox. until they gained international attention then changed their name to Ecotutu, with “tutu” coined from the Yorúba language, meaning something ‘cold’ or ‘chilling’. Beyond enabling access to a cold box, they have provided a working viable cold storage solutions for businesses in rural and urban communities on a long-term basis.

Only a small majority of farmers in sub-Saharan African countries can afford to buy and install cold storage systems.a Refrigeration is both expensive and inaccessible for millions of African farmers who live in rural areas making less than $ 2 per day.

The said Cleantech firm has also improve the livelihoods of farmers by enabling them to store their produce for longer periods of time.
