The House of Representatives has passed for second reading a bill seeking to alter the 1999 Constitution ( as amended) to empower states to create their own police force.
The bill, which is sponsored by the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, and 14 others, was referred to the House Special Committee on Constitution Review.
