The people of Ewohimi in Esan South East Local Government Area of Edo State will on March 30 witness the handing over of the Staff of Office to a new Onojie, HRH Lord Destiny Ebatamaehi Osifoh Ogienefoh II by the state government.

In a statement signed by Dr Nicolas Felix, Chairman, Finance Committee, on behalf of the Chairman, planning committee, said that the coronation ceremony/presentation of Staff of Office will be done at the Onojie’s Palace at Eguare, Ewohimi.

He said the coronation ceremony is going to usher in a new dawn for the entire people of Ewohimi Kingdom who have witnessed a successful transition from one king to another (father to son).

DrFelix said that the reign of the immediate past king before he joined his ancestors, brought about tremendous peace and progress to the kingdom, maintaining that, his successor is going to build on the peace, unity and progress that his father has left behind.

Felix said that the ceremony is going to witness the sons and daughters of the kingdom both home and in the diaspora in attendance to witness the coronation of their new king.

Felix added that the people of Ewohimi who are highly rooted in culture and traditions, will be showcasing them to the world to see on the day of the coronation.
