A Labour Party stalwart in Abia State, Hon Iheanyichukwu Ugochukwu, popularly known as Prince Ugo, has congratulated the new President General Uzuakoli Development Association,(UDA), Barr Prince Chigozie Okechukwu.
Prince Okechukwu, a legal practitioner, is taking over from the immediate past PG,Chief Engineer Okey Nwokoro.
The new PG and his 10 men exco were innaugrated on the 6th of July, after an election.

The UDA is an umbrella body of Uzuakoli indigenes home and abroad under the PG charged with welfare, culture, and traditional of Uzuakoli people. The president general works with Ndi Eze and their cabinet to ensure that Uzuakoli people home and abroad are united with one purpose, which, amongst other things, is to unite and project Uzuakoli people in good light
In a statement made available to the media, Hon Prince Ugo described the new PG, Barr Prince Okechukwu, as a hardworking person with the right experience to move UDA forward.
In achieving his goals, the new PG, Prince Okechukwu, with the support of the Eze’s in counsel, the youths and women leaders would work as a team in order to deliver the best to Uzuakoli people.
While setting agenda for the PG and his new exco, Hon Prince Ugo urges them to work as a team by addressing the menace of cultist among youths in the community.
“I also call on youths who indulge in cultisim, illicit- drug and human trafficking to desist from this ugly acts as it spoils the good names of Uzuakoli people .”
