‘He was a symbol of wisdom and cultural heritage’ — Sa’adu Zungur University mourns Emir of Ningi

The management, staff, and students of Sa’adu Zungur University have expressed sadness over the death of the Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Dr. Yunusa Danyaya.

The revered monarch passed away early Sunday in an hospital in Kano.

The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Fatimah Tahir said members of the institution are deeply saddened by the passing of the Emir.

“The university community mourns the loss of a revered traditional ruler, who was a symbol of wisdom, leadership, and cultural heritage,” Tahir said in a statement signed by Auwal Hassan,
Public Relations Officer.

“His demise is a great loss not only to the Ningi Emirate but also to the academic community.

“We are deeply shocked and saddened by the passing of Emir Yunusa Danyaya. He was a great leader and a champion of education. His legacy will continue to inspire us.”

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Ningi Emirate, the family of the late Emir, and the people of Bauchi State.

“May his soul rest in peace”
