Tragedy has hit the Bayelsa State Command as gunmen stormed highbrow Udeme Hotels at Alamesieyegha road in Yenagoa, killing two policemen on duty.
Udeme hotel is owned by Senator Emmanuel Paulker, representing Bayelsa Central in the National Assembly.
Eyewitness account says the gunmen came in a salon car and opened fire immdiately at the policemen at the hotel gate.
The gunmen, after ascertaining that their victims were dead, took their rifles away.
Police Public Relations Officer Mr Asinim Butwats, who confirmed the incident, said the police will issue a statement on the incident later.
