The petitioners had closed their cases after calling no fewer than 21 witnesses and tendered several documents to back their submissions.

The INEC, being the first respondent also opened and closed its case without calling any witness.

However, governor Uba Sani who is the 2nd respondent earlier said he had 30 witnesses to defend his victory, but, ended up closing his case on Friday without calling any witness.

“We have 30 witnesses and they are ready, but we have no reason to call any,” Duro Adeyele, (SAN), counsel to Gov. Uba Sani told the tribunal.

The 3rd respondent, the All Progressives Congress (APC) also closed its case on Friday by tendering six sets of document without calling any witness.

Meanwhile, Ashiru’s lead counsel, Oluwole Iyamu (SAN) opposed to all documents presented by APC to the tribunal.
