Aganga Williams Foundation, yesterday, commissioned an industrial solar-powered borehole at the Alaba International Market, Ojo, Lagos.
The President of the Foundation, Hon. Olawale Williams Aganga, said the gesture was to provide a sustainable source of clean water to thousands of traders and visitors in the bustling commercial hub.
Speaking at the occasion, the President of the Alaba International Market Amalgamated, Camillus Amajuoyi, commended Hon. Aganga for the intervention, noting that the provision of clean water would greatly benefit the traders. He pleaded for intervention in the challenges facing the market, including poor access roads, inadequate infrastructure, and high levies on containers.

The market leader further pledged the support of the traders for the ruling the All Progressives Congress (APC) for responsive leadership.
Former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Sarah Adebisi Sosan, commended the Foundation for providing potable water, describing it as a necessity for human life. She urged the traders to formally present their infrastructural needs to the Lagos State Government, assuring them of support from key stakeholders.
In his remarks, the founder of the Foundation and House of Representatives aspirant for Ojo Federal Constituency, Hon. Olawale Williams Aganga, stated the project reflects his commitment to community development and sustainable infrastructure.
Aganga further highlighted other interventions by the Foundation, including scholarships awarded to over 200 students and empowerment programmes for indigent women.
