Gov Makinde hails Dotun Sanusi as he emerged Oyo State Tourism Man of The Year 2024

Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has lauded Chief Dotun Sanusi for his contributions to the tourism industry in the state, as he emerged Oyo State Tourism Man of the Year 2024. The award was presented to Sanusi at the first Oyo State International Tourism Summit (Dinner & Awards) held at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.
Sanusi, the owner of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, was honored for his significant investments in sports infrastructure development and tourism promotion in Oyo State. The Governor commended Sanusi and other awardees for their immense contributions to the tourism potential of the state, stating that they are role models for others in the industry.
Sanusi, who was represented at the event by Alhaji Fatai Owoseni, has made a name for himself in Oyo State and beyond. His Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort has become a hub for sports and tourism, featuring top-notch facilities such as a stadium, swimming pool, gym, and hotel rooms. The resort has attracted visitors from across Nigeria and beyond, contributing to the development of tourism in Oyo State and generating revenue for the local economy.
In addition to his investments in sports and tourism, Sanusi has also contributed to youth empowerment, community development projects, and the sponsorship of various sports events in the state. His collaboration with the Oyo State Government on initiatives to promote sports and tourism further demonstrates his commitment to the state’s development.
