Gov Idris hails corps members for accepting NYSC deployment to Kebbi

The Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has applauded the 2025 Batch C Corps Members for their willingness to leave the comfort of their homes and accepted their deployment to serve in the state.

Idris who stated this while presiding over the opening and swearing-in ceremony of the Corps members, held at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp in Basaura, Jega Local Government Area, described their acceptance as patriotic and bravery.

The Governor,who was represented by his Deputy, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida, welcomed the Corps Members and reaffirmed the significance of the NYSC scheme in strengthening national unity, integration, and community development.

 

He further emphasized that the Kebbi State Government remains unwavering in its commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of the Corps Members throughout their service year.

Idris donated two big bulls for augmenting the Orientation Camp feeding.

 

Earlier in his remarks, the NYSC Kebbi State Coordinator, Alhaji Bala Dabo Kagarko, told the visitors the objectives of the Orientation Course and urged the Corps Members to conduct themselves with discipline and fully embrace the training and values of the programme.

 

The Coordinator also expressed appreciation to the State Government for its continued support and responsiveness to the needs of the NYSC in the state.

The ceremony also featured the administration of the Oath of Allegiance to 556 Corps Members by the representative of the Chief Judge of Kebbi State, Justice Hassan Mohammed, officially inducting the Corps Members into national service.
