God has plan for Nigeria –Olukoya

Olukoya

General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry (MFM), Daniel Olukoya, yesterday, said God still has a plan for Nigeria and described Nigeria as a gun ready to be triggered.

Olukoya stated this during an interview with newsmen after a thanksgiving service to round off the 35 years anniversary of the church at Prayer City, Ogun State.

“Nigeria needs divine intervention to resolve its economic issues. The arm of flesh will fail you, the brain of men may fail, our hard work may fail, but with God, all things are possible. We need divine intervention as a nation but I’m a believer in one Nigeria and I believe God has a purpose for us where we are today.

“I keep telling people that if we look at the map of Africa, it looks like a gun and Nigeria is at the trigger end of it so God has a purpose for us as a nation and I believe if we pray more and do what we should do everything will be fine.

“No matter where you are, no matter the resources you have, except the Lord builds a house, they labour in vain to build.”

He said one may gather resources and will not be able to use it, adding that Nigeria needs divine intervention.

He, therefore, prays that the Lord will lay his hands on the leaders to take the right decisions and do the right things.

Asked if there is a future for Nigeria, he replied: “Yes, there is a future for the country. Look at Nigeria through the map of Africa, the map of Africa looks like a gun, Nigeria is like the trigger of the gun when you hold it.

“We must ‘suffocate’ the entire world with the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and also ‘suffocate’ the whole nations, and the entire globe with prayers of deliverance. It is interesting that a lot of people are now interested in prayers. We have seen that the powerless powers have not helped anybody, they waste money, lives and take things away, including our resources, but with the power of prayers nothing is impossible.”

The general overseer also used the occasion to give out awards to 492 first class graduate from various universities across the globe who are members of the church at the service, which was attended by the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Sanwo-Olu, his Ogun and Delta states’ counterparts, Dapo Abiodun, and Sheriff Oborevwori.
