Technology-driven transport firm, GIG Mobility (GIGM) has announced its evolution into a full-scale mobility ecosystem with the launch of an integrated digital platform aimed at transforming travel experiences.
The unveiling took place at the company’s 2026 Product Conference in Lagos, where its Chief Executive Officer, Enahoro Okhae, said the shift was in response to rising customer demand for services beyond intercity transportation.
Okhae explained that the new platform consolidates several offerings, including HireX and PASS, into a single digital interface, enabling users to seamlessly access a broad range of mobility and travel services.
According to him, HireX is designed as a premium vehicle marketplace connecting customers with verified luxury car providers for both instant and scheduled bookings, catering to individuals and corporate clients seeking convenience and high service standards.
He further noted that PASS, meaning Premium Access to Simplified Travel Services, serves as the firm’s travel and tours arm, offering solutions such as flight bookings, visa processing, and curated travel packages for individuals and organisations.
Describing the development as a strategic turning point, Okhae said the company has moved beyond its traditional identity.
“We are no longer just focused on moving passengers between cities. We are building a global mobility platform where transport, travel and lifestyle services are integrated into one ecosystem,” he said.

He added that the platform addresses fragmentation in the travel sector by bringing multiple services under one roof, making planning and booking more efficient for users.
Highlighting innovation, the CEO disclosed that the company is advancing plans to introduce electric vehicles into its operations, supported by a nationwide charging infrastructure currently in development.
He said discussions are ongoing with financial institutions to drive the initiative, which is expected to promote sustainable transportation across Nigeria.
Okhae also revealed plans to deepen partnerships within the tourism sector, including providing mobility support for tourism activities in Abeokuta.
He reiterated that technology remains central to the company’s strategy, noting that all operations are driven by digital solutions designed to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
He added that the Product Conference will now be an annual event to showcase innovations shaping the future of mobility.
In her remarks, Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, represented by Quadri Adebowale, emphasised the role of integrated mobility in driving tourism and economic growth.
She noted that seamless transportation systems are critical to connecting people with business opportunities, cultural experiences, and social activities.
According to her, inefficient and fragmented transport networks could limit productivity and weaken the tourism potential of cities.
She added that the state government is promoting collaboration through initiatives such as the Ethno-Mobility framework to align policy with innovation and ensure inclusive and efficient mobility systems.
“The future of mobility lies in integration and collaboration across public and private sectors,” she said.
