Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Monday complied with an invitation from the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and gave a statement as part of an ongoing investigation into the activities of a suspected fake agency known as “PFIPC.”
“Acting as directed by the President of Nigeria, I hereby confirm that my client, Femi Gbajabiamila, responded to the invitation of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) and appeared at about 15:00hrs on Monday, July 20, 2026, as part of the ongoing investigation into the activities of the ‘PFIPC’ fake agency, among others,” said a statement issued by Gbajabiamila’s counsel, Jiti Ogunye, principal of Jiti Ogunye Chambers.
Ogunye said his client “gave his testimony, responded to questions accordingly, and has returned to his duty post.” The statement, signed and dated July 20, 2026, described Gbajabiamila’s attendance as being in “full cooperation with the ICPC.”
