Ganduje, Ajibola Basiru emerge APC chairman, secretary

Despite the stiff opposition against them, former governor of Kano State Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru have emerged the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman and National Secretary respectively during the ongoing National Executive Committee (NEC).

The duo took the oath of office to serve on acting capacity after a closed-door meeting of NEC members that lasted for few hours.

In attendance at the meeting include President Bola Tinubu, his Vice, Kashim Shettima, Senate President, Godwill Akpabio, Deputy Senate President, no fewer than 18 serving governors on the platform of the party, the National Working Committee (NWC) members among other stakeholders of the party.

Confirming the nominations and endorsement, the acting National Chairman, Abubakar Kyari said: “While you were aware, we nominated and endorsed Ganduje and Ajibola to act as chairman and secretary.”
