Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has assured members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), that his administration will remain intentional in its commitment to initiate policies that would make them stand strong economically as well as lifted out of poverty.
He stated this at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai Local Government Area, during the swearing in ceremony of 2025 Batch C Corps Members deployed to Rivers State.
Fubara, represented by the Secretary to the State Government and Chairman, NYSC State Governing Board, Benibo Anabraba, further assured the NYSC members of his administration’s unwavering support to mold them into stand-out leaders of tomorrow.
He concluded by advising the Corps members to make the best use of the NYSC skill acquisition training programme in order to become “self-reliant and in doing so, boost the nation’s economic resurgence.”
In his welcome address, the State Coordinator, NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe, charged the Corps members to see the “service year as more than just a year of experience, but a time to be committed in laying strong foundation for a more united and greater nation.”

A total of 2,614 Corps members made up of 1,083 males and 1,531 females swore to the oath of allegiance administered by the Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Simeon Chibuzor Amadi, who was represented by Justice Comfort Ifiekmotu-Awaji Adangor.
