Four police commissioners for election duty in Ogun

Amid tension and fear of breakdown of law and order in Ogun State in tomorrow’s elections, the Inspector General of Police, has deployed three commissioners of police to assist the resident Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Illyasu.

The newly-posted CPs, are Olushola David, for Ogun Central, Olafimihan Adeoye for Ogun West and Agunbiade Lasore for Ogun East.

The commissioners are to supervise election security in their respective senatorial districts, while Iliyasu will coordinate their senatorial activities respectively.

There was breakdown of law and order on Monday as political thugs believed to have been sponsored disrupted the presidential rally of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Abeokuta.

The tense situation forced many of the APC chieftains to exit through back doors and the rally abruptly ended.
