The Hearts Aglow Foundation, in partnership with the United Nations Association of Nigeria (UNA-N) and Newland Elementary School, Lagos, has launched the “Catch Them Young” initiative. This programme aims to educate and empower young minds on environmental issues and sustainable development, focusing on plastic pollution.

At the Newland Elementary School, Lagos, venue of the event, Founder, Hearts Aglow Foundation, Mrs Monica Nwosu, said in commemoration of the World Environmental Day celebration, the Foundation decided to teach students about plastic pollution’s impact on the environment.

“We aim to encourage eco-friendly behaviors among students, provide a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and creativity in reducing plastic waste. This initiative aligns with global efforts to promote sustainability and environmental awareness among young people. Similar initiatives, such as those by Aglow Aid Foundation, focus on empowering young Africans and transforming lives, communities, and environments,” she said.
