Former banking top shot and lifestyle coach, Olubukola Latunji is not in the best of moods. For the pretty socialite, she believes deeply in mother’s love which fuels her abilities to do the impossible. It is not surprising that when death, recently, snatched away her beloved mother, Christiana Olufunmilayo Latunji (nee Majekodunmi), she became distraught. It hits hard and the pain is unexplainable as her mum finally bade farewell to mother earth.

Latunji’s mom, who died on Sunday, 13 October, at the age of 83, was described as hard-willed and spunky, and someone with character made of steel,. She was a respected figure in the Latunji and Majekodunmi families, known for her beauty, wisdom, and strength, and one that made significant contributions to the Anglican community. Her legacy of faith and love touched many lives. The Ogun State-born deceased was also described as a cheerful giver with a high sense of hospitality. These characters she inculcated into her five children while alive. When such a woman dies, she deserves nothing but a grand farewell celebration that would make her smile in her grave and give thumbs up to her children for a job well done.

Spotlight learnt the burial of Mama Latunji is expected to take place before the end of 2024 while her children are planning another grand celebration of life similar to, if not surpassing the burial of the family patriarch two years ago.
