PPC Limited, a leading Nigerian engineering and infrastructure development company with a growing footprint in the healthcare sector, is rolling out a series of clinical meetings across the country.
The initiative aims to improve access to modern diagnostic tools and foster knowledge sharing among healthcare professionals.
The meetings will be held in key locations including Covenant University Medical Centre, CIDAL Biomedical Limited, General Hospital Lagos, Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, and Habib Medical Centre, Abuja.
These sessions will feature product presentations and expert-led discussions on advanced diagnostic and interventional technologies such as CT, MRI scanners, mammography units, Cathlabs, C-Arm, Ultrasound, as well as on point-of-care devices.
Dr Chukwunonso Izechukwu, Assistant General Manager of the Healthcare Division at PPC Limited, emphasised the urgency of expanding diagnostic capabilities across Nigeria’s healthcare system.
“Recent data from the Nigerian Medical Association shows that fewer than 20 per cent of public hospitals and only around 35 per cent of private hospitals have access to functional MRI or CT scanners. Mammography services are even scarcer, especially in rural and semi-urban communities.
“These limitations are significant barriers to early diagnosis and effective treatment for diseases like cancer, cardiovascular conditions, and neurological disorders. Through these clinical meetings, PPC Limited is creating opportunities for healthcare providers to interact directly with life-saving technologies. Diagnostics remain the cornerstone of quality healthcare delivery, and without them, clinicians are forced to make decisions without adequate information,” Dr. Izechukwu added.
