QNET has raised concerns over the increasing stress burden facing Nigerian mothers amid worsening economic realities, workplace pressure and rising daily responsibilities.

The global lifestyle and wellness-focused direct selling company said many mothers continue to bear the weight of household management, childcare, career demands and family wellbeing, often neglecting their own health in the process.

Speaking as families across the world marked this year’s Mother’s Day celebration, the company noted that mothers remain central to maintaining healthy homes, managing nutrition, ensuring safe living conditions and supporting the emotional wellbeing of family members.

According to QNET, growing workplace pressure and economic uncertainty have contributed significantly to mental and physical exhaustion among Nigerian women. It cited recent surveys indicating that about 75 per cent of Nigerian employees experience work-related stress, while 60 per cent report persistent feelings of overwhelm.

The company further highlighted concerns over limited access to basic wellness facilities in Nigeria. Referencing data from the WHO/UNICEF Joint Monitoring Programme, it stated that 28 per cent of Nigerians still lack access to basic drinking water, while nearly 75 per cent do not have access to basic sanitation services.

Commenting on the development, General Manager of QNET Nigeria, Ayokunmi Solesi, described mothers as the backbone of many homes, stressing the need for greater attention to their wellbeing.

“Mothers give their time, energy and care so consistently that their own wellbeing can sometimes take a back seat. Mother’s Day is an important reminder that supporting mothers’ health and wellness is not just a personal priority, but a family and societal one,” he said.

Solesi explained that the company’s 2026 global campaign, tagged “Energised, Every Day,” was designed to promote practical wellness solutions capable of supporting healthier lifestyles and improved daily living.

He added that when mothers are healthy, energised and properly supported, the positive impact is often felt across the entire household.

As part of its wellness initiatives, QNET showcased products including EDG3 Plus nutritional supplements, HomePure Nova water purification system and Amezcua Bio Disc 3, all aimed at promoting healthier living and overall wellbeing for families.

The company also urged families and communities to move beyond celebrating mothers only during special occasions by actively supporting their health, rest and wellness needs every day.
