Abode Assets has opened its doors to the physically challenged community, emphasizing the connection between financial empowerment and overall health.

At the Africa Wealth Festival 2025, held in Maryland, Lagos, efforts were made to include people with physical disabilities in discussions and opportunities within the real estate industry. The event, themed “The Language of Money,” focused on breaking social and psychological barriers that often limit participation in wealth creation.

Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey Itepu, highlighted that the true limitation to personal growth lies not in physical ability but in mindset and access to the right information. He explained that the company’s mission is not only to promote financial inclusion but also to support the emotional and mental wellbeing that comes from empowerment and belonging. “Success is not determined by physical limitations. It is determined by what you do with the information you have,” he said.

Co-founder, Damilare Oshokoya, reinforced this by illustrating that prosperity is a universal right, not restricted by physical condition, age, or background. He noted that Abode Assets is committed to “democratizing prosperity” ensuring that everyone, regardless of circumstance, has an equal opportunity to thrive.

The event also featured renowned speaker and television personality Tope Mark-Odigie, who shared a personal story emphasizing the mental strength and positive mindset required to overcome life’s challenges. Her message resonated deeply with attendees, particularly those from the physically challenged community, who were empowered to see real estate as a pathway not just to financial growth but also to improved self-esteem and mental wellbeing.

To ensure full inclusion, a professional sign language interpreter was present throughout the sessions and projected on multiple screens across the venue, allowing members of the deaf community to participate actively. This effort underscored the company’s belief that health  both mental and emotional begins with inclusion and participation.

The event concluded with a raffle draw and rewards session, where participants, regardless of background or status, had equal chances to win prizes, including an all-expense-paid trip to Qatar.

By integrating people with physical challenges into its business ecosystem, Abode Assets has set a new standard for corporate social responsibility one that recognizes that true wealth is not only about money but also about wellbeing, equality, and the health that comes from dignity and opportunity.
