Reb360 Ltd, a real estate company with interest in agriculture has taken a significant step toward promoting food security in Nigeria with the launch of its agricultural subsidiary, Reb360 Farms.

Known for providing safe and profitable real estate investment opportunities for Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, the company is now leveraging its land assets to address the growing concern of food scarcity in the country.

With a focus on sustainability and community impact, Reb360 Farms began its agricultural journey by cultivating yams on one of the company’s estates, Kefi Court. This year, the initiative expanded to include sweet corn and sweet potatoes, further diversifying its crop offerings. The move aims to maximise Nigeria’s abundant but often underutilised arable lands to provide affordable, nutritious food to local communities.

The recent harvest marked a milestone for Reb360 Farms as the team successfully gathered a substantial yield of sweet corn, sweet potatoes and robust yams. According to the company’s CEO, Mrs. Tope Mark-Odigie, the decision to venture into agriculture was driven by a deep understanding of the critical role food sustainability plays in national development.

“At Reb360, we recognise the importance of food sustainability in ensuring the well-being of individuals, families and communities,” she explained. “Unfortunately, many of Nigeria’s arable lands lie fallow. We saw an opportunity to address this issue by putting our land to productive use through agriculture.”

Mrs. Mark-Odigie emphasised that the company’s agricultural project is part of its corporate social responsibility to contribute to Nigeria’s development beyond real estate. She noted that the company prioritises affordability when selling the harvested crops to ensure they reach a broad audience.

“Our goal is to make healthy, fresh farm produce available to people at prices they can afford. We’ve fed hundreds of families who may not have been able to purchase these items at regular market rates,” she said.

Beyond providing affordable food, Reb360’s agricultural venture also aims to inspire other real estate companies to explore similar opportunities. By turning unused lands into productive farms, Reb360 is setting an example of how businesses can diversify their operations to address social challenges.“This initiative is about more than just farming – it’s about promoting food security, encouraging sustainable agriculture and strengthening our communities.

We want to inspire others in the real estate sector to see agriculture as a viable path toward contributing to national development,” Mrs. Mark-Odigie added.

Reb360’s innovative approach to blending real estate and agriculture highlights its commitment to making a lasting impact on the Nigerian economy and society. Through this expansion, the company is addressing a critical need while providing sustainable solutions for future generations.
