For many UK fans of Nigerian singer Johnny Drille, the recently concluded “Johnny’s Room Live” tour was a dream fulfilled — a soul-stirring experience across four cities: London, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Manchester.
But behind the seamless flow of music and emotion stood a dedicated team of organizers working behind the curtains to make magic happen.
Kazeem Shoyomi, Event Project Manager at FINS Entertainment, has now opened up about what it took to bring the tour to life — and what it means for Johnny Drille’s growing global influence.
“The experience was intense, inspiring, and incredibly rewarding,” Shoyomi said.
“From planning logistics to coordinating venues and teams in four different cities, it was a huge effort. But seeing it all come together on stage each night made everything worthwhile.
“Johnny Drille’s authenticity made the process even more enjoyable. His commitment to connecting with his fans emotionally gave every concert real meaning. For us at FINS Entertainment and Kumplicit Media, this was more than just a tour — it was a movement of sound and soul.”
The UK leg of “Johnny’s Room Live” proved to be more than just a concert series. In London, fans showed up early, sang every lyric, and created an electric atmosphere.
Birmingham had one of the most touching moments when fans spontaneously lit up the venue with their phone lights during the hit single “How Are You (My Friend)” — a moment Shoyomi described as “a wave of love.”
In Glasgow, often overlooked by Afro-alternative acts, the turnout was smaller but deeply engaged. Manchester, which hosted the final show, ended on a high as fans brought signs, flowers, and heartfelt gifts, leaving the singer visibly emotional during his encore performance.
“This tour solidified Johnny Drille as a true international act,” Shoyomi said.
“The intimate nature of his shows deepened fan loyalty and opened doors for future collaborations and bigger stages. From a branding perspective, it positioned him as not just a Nigerian artist, but a global storyteller whose music transcends borders.”
While the tour came with its share of challenges — from travel delays to last-minute technical adjustments — Shoyomi revealed that each city also offered unexpected wins. In Glasgow, the venue team reconfigured the space into a more intimate layout that enhanced the experience. And in London, a local media outlet covered the event without being prompted — purely driven by the buzz surrounding the show.
FINS Entertainment, in collaboration with Kumplicit Media, spearheaded the tour’s production. Now, with this success under their belt, the company is eyeing even bigger projects.
“We’re currently in talks to bring more high-caliber African acts to Europe,” Shoyomi added.
“Not just mainstream names, but artists with true substance and timeless music. As for Johnny Drille, we’re absolutely open to more collaborations. This was more than a tour; it was a movement.”
