The Federal Government has said that the Nigeria Embassy in Libya is set to repatriate 330 Nigerians to the country.
The repatriation is in partnership with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) according to statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The statement issued by the ministry’s spokesperson George Ehidiamen Edokpa, the government further said the returnees are scheduled to be flown simultaneously on board two chartered Buraq Airline flights toMurtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform that the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in conjunction with the Embassy of Nigeria in Tripoli, Libya will repatriate Three Hundred and Thirty (330) irregular Nigerian migrants from Tripoli, Libya to Lagos. Edokpa said: “The returnees are scheduled to be flown simultaneously on board two chartered Buraq Airline flights and are expected to arrive Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos at about 4.30pm. On arrival, the Returnees would be received by officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) and other relevant agencies.
