The Federal Government has reiterated its strong commitment to working closely with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) to deliver durable, world-class infrastructure across the country.
Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, gave the assurance during the investiture of Engr. Alimasuya Rabiu as the 35th President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Prof. Utsev said the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recognises the NSE as a critical partner in nation-building, stressing that this informed the appointment of several engineers to head key technical ministries, departments and agencies.
According to him, the engagement of seasoned professionals has begun to yield tangible results, citing the ongoing total rehabilitation and upgrade of the Alau Dam in Borno State, alongside other major water and road infrastructure projects nationwide.
“The Federal Government remains committed to deploying professional expertise to drive sustainable infrastructure development that will stand the test of time,” the Minister said.
