The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Miller Dantawaye, on Thursday led an operational inspection tour of Bwari and Garam communities and other border areas adjoining Kaduna and Niger States.
According to a statement issued by Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, Abuja, Josephine Adeh, the visit was focused on enhancing police presence and assessing deployment effectiveness to safeguard residents in these critical border locations.
Accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations and heads of tactical units, Dantawaye inspected key police formations, including the Nigerian Law School in Bwari. The assessment forms part of the Command’s ongoing efforts to prevent cross-border crimes and improve rapid response capabilities to emerging security threats.

At a courtesy visit to the Emir of Bwari and the Etsu Bwaya, the Commissioner stressed the importance of community collaboration in maintaining peace and security. He reassured the public of the Police Command’s commitment to protecting lives and properties, urging residents to stay vigilant and provide credible information to the police promptly.
“The Command remains unwavering in its mission to protect all residents. We rely heavily on community partnership, intelligence-led policing, and strategic deployment to strengthen security across the FCT,” CP Dantawaye stated.
