The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described vote buying and selling during election as an African culture that has become very difficult to kill.
Justifying allegations of widespread incidents of vote buying and selling during the just concluded Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections last weekend, a chieftain of the party and party’s collation centre agent in Kuje, Jato Haruna, told newsmen that it has become a part of election in the continent. Responding to the voter apathy, vote buying and the arrests made during the election in the Area Council, Haruna said: “Vote buying has become an African culture. It is difficult for anybody to kill a culture. That is the simple truth.”
