Officials of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), have stormed Chinese supermarket in Abuja, over alleged racial practice against Nigerians.

A social media video went viral over the weekend, alleging that Nigerians and other blacks are not allowed access into the Chinese supermarket located at China Chamber of Commerce and Industry building located along airport road in Abuja.

The video noted that the supermarket is only for Chinese people, and no Nigerian is allowed access into the supermarket.

The FCCPC officials led by Director of Surveillance and Investigations, Boladale Adeyinka, said that such practice is unacceptable to the Federal Government, hence the decision to visit the location to ascertain the truth and take appropriate actions (sanctions) if necessary.

As at the time of filing the report, officials of the Commission were unable to access the supermarket, reason being that the operator identified as Cyndy, was said to had locked the supermarket and proceeded on vacation.
