Commotion rocked Ehiabor Street, Agbor, Delta State, yesterday when some street urchins, popularly called area boys, hacked one Nkeki to death at a building site.
A community source said an argument had ensued between the area boys and the deceased over the payment of development levy, which led to fight, and his gruesome murder
According to the source, Nkeki arrived the building site when he got a distress call that some boys were there demanding N200,000 before work would continue on a project.
The deceased, a father of five, was said to have told the area boys that he had paid the money they were demanding. An argument had ensued between him and the area boys, who pounced on him, hitting him with iron rods, and he died.
