Hip-hop artiste, Folarin Falana aka Falz will join Ugandan artist, Bebe Cool for this year’s edition of Coke Studio Africa.
Organisers of the show, Coke Studio disclosed that Coke Studio Africa will merge Coke Studio South Africa for a bigger and better Coke Studio Africa 2017.
Speaking from Nairobi, Falz said: “It feels very good to work with Bebe Cool. He is a very cool guy. So far, we have a good working relationship and we are getting along well. I look forward to learning from him which is one of the exciting features about the Coke Studio experience. Bebe Cool is a good dancehall artiste while I am a hip-hop artiste so the fusion will be electric!”
The show promises to be a gathering of talents from across countries in Africa. With this merger, the number of participating countries have been increased from 11 to 16.
During last year’s edition, Falz was paired with Tanzanian rapper, Joh Makini. Both Bebe Cool and Falz will also feature in a special Coke Studio session tagged ‘The Global Fusion Edition’ alongside Coke Studio Africa’s international guest star, American Pop/R&B star, Jason Derulo and eight other African music stars. They include Dela, Mr. Bow, Joey B, Betty G, Jah Prayzah, Shekhinah, Locko and Denise.
Falz took the Nigerian music industry by storm with Soft Work and Soldier while Bebe Cool is making his debut on the show.
