Pep Guardiola, Manchester City’s manager, has said that his team’s performance has been “really poor” as they fight to regain their title-winning form.
City, who have won six Premier League titles since Guardiola’s arrival in 2016, are fifth in the standings.
The champions are 22 points adrift of leaders Liverpool.
In the Champions League, City crashed out before the last 16 following a 6-3 aggregate defeat to Real Madrid.

When asked by reporters to rate his performance, Guardiola responded: “This season? Really poor.”
“My duty was to get out of the situation much better than I have done.”
Man City will take on Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Sunday as they seek to lift the trophy for the eighth time.
However, Guardiola has made it clear that silverware or European qualification would not erase the disappointment of this season’s domestic campaign.
