Eze Ndigbo Mekong  sue for peace over cult crisis in Okija

Miffed by reports of  clashes among cultists in Okija community in Anambra state, which has resulted in death and loss of property, the Eze Ndigbo Mekong River, HRH Uzochukwu Ezeneche has appealed to the warring party to sheath their swords for the sake of peace.

In a statement,  Ezeneche an award wining peace ambassador and king of six nations in South East Asia

said cult wars among rival gangs is gradually destroying the rich cultural values off Okija people.

According to the royal father, without peace no Community or nation can move forward.” I hereby appeal to all trouble makers to give peace a chance and join hand to promote peace and  orderliness in the town.

While commending  security forces and local vigilante for rising to the occasion and arresting some of the trouble makers, Ezeneche said the crisis if unchecked could scare investors and Okija children in the Diaspora away from the state.

On the way forward, Ezeneche calls for stakeholders meeting which would focus on how peace will return to Okija.

The royal father also call on Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano to intervene and restore peace and security to the community.
