The Eze Ndigbo Ghana, HRM Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu has joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other world leaders to congratulate Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, former Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, on her unanimous re-election as the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
In a statement issued from the revered Obi-Ukwu Obieziokwu palace in Ghana, HRM Ihenetu said the return of Dr. Okonjo-Iweala for the second term is testimony to her versertile economy and global finance expertise.
It would be recalled that the development economist and global finance expert made history in 2021 as the first African and first woman to lead the 164-nation-member WTO.
“I strongly believe that your continued leadership will strengthen the international economic organisation’s role as a critical sector in the fight against poverty and bad governance across the globe,”HRM Ihenetu concludes.
