An industrialist and major investor in entertainment and hospitality industry, Dr Hillary Kenechukwu Eze has declared his intention to represent the people of Enugu North in the senate on the platform of Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2027.
Eze who promised quality representation if elected into the senate made his intention known as he obtained the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms recently.
His emergence has already sparked conversations across political and social circles within the zone, with many observers describing it as the beginning of a new chapter centred on competence, inclusion and generational transition.
He noted that his background in enterprise and investment gives him practical experience that would translate into effective representation.
He emphasised that beyond business, he also represents a bridge between experience and youthful energy, insisting that the realities of modern governance require leaders who understand innovation, investment opportunities and the economic aspirations of younger generations.
“In an era where nations and regions compete through ideas, technology and investment-driven policies, Enugu North requires leaders who can think beyond conventional politics and approach governance with entrepreneurial precision.
“The future belongs to leaders who understand both the wisdom of experience and the urgency of contemporary realities. Societies evolve, economies change and governance itself increasingly demands leaders who can navigate innovation, economic transformation and the aspirations of a younger population,” he said.
He equally maintained that his candidacy would address the issue of equity and fair representation in Enugu North.
As political activities continue to build ahead of the elections, many residents and stakeholders are expected to closely watch how his message of inclusion, development and transformational leadership resonates across the zone.
