As part of his role as Global Peace Ambassador,  HRM Eze Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu, alongside former president  of Nigeria,  His Excellency  Chief  Olusegun  Obasanjo and other dignitaries converged on Mankessim Central Region Ghana in Manna Height Mankessim, as Youth Bridge Foundation hosts Africa and Diaspora Youth.

In event themed: “Advancing youths inclusive governance, peace and security in Africa,” HRM Eze Ihenetu  urges the youths to be exemplary in their conduct as the future  belongs to them.

The event, which was well attended  by dignitaries  across  West Africa, featured  lectures, talks, and exultation aimed at mentoring  the youths  into  reliable  adults who would take over leadership  positions  in the future.

In his remarks,  HRM  Ihenetu, a Global Peace Ambassador, urges them to shun crime and any attitudes that could paint them in bad lights.  His Majesty Eze Ihenetu advice the youths against drug abuse and use of illicit drugs.  in his words, the Umuduruoha Amigbo Nwagele Imo state-born Royal Father  said: “Youths this days form bulk of victims of drug abuse. This narcotic destroy lives and is capable of ruining their future. Some of them are running mad, while others are selling their property, and some are killing themselves. This is worrisome because these are the  people we are expecting to take over leadership  position from us in the future. So they should shun drugs and excessive alcohol and they should also ensure that they attend schools because education is power. Those whose parents can not afford to send to higher institution should learn trade.

“In the world today, it is either you acquire western education and use it to get job or you acquire skills through apprenticeship. So even if opportunity for empowerment comes up, people can only easily assist those who are either educationally qualified or  skillfully trained in one trade or the other.

“About 60 percent of youths in Africa are confused as they  are not properly focused in their education. So, I am appealing to  you all present in this hall to take your education seriously.”, the Royal father said. Similar advice was also given by former president  of Nigeria,  Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who equally  urge the youths  to shun crime and embrace  skills and training that we make them  self reliant and useful  to the society.
