Ex-Niger Gov, Kure for burial Wednesday

The remains of the former Governor of Niger State , Engineer Abdulkadir Abdullahi Kure, will be committed to mother earth on Wednesday. The former governor had  died in a German hospital last Sunday.
The State government in a statement in Minna on Tuesday signed by the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Jonathan Vatsa disclosed that the Janaiza (burial prayer) will hold by 12 noon at Minna Eid-Praying ground.
The date for the interment was reached after a meeting between the state government led by the State governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello and the late Kure family on Tuesday.
According to the statement the state government has therefore declared today (Wednesday) a work free day to enable People of the state accord the former governor a befitting burial.
Meanwhile, the Estu Lapai, Alhaji Umaru Bago Tafida has equally approved that the 3 day fidau prayer for the repose of the soul of the former governor be held in Minna shortly after the interment instead of Lapai, the late governor’s home town.
The former governor passed away in a German Hospital in Germany on Sunday after brief illness at the age of 60.
